Questions
What families ask us
What ages and weeks do you serve?
Camp is for ages 5 to 13, in nine weeks from early June to early August. Younger campers are in their own groups, and older campers choose from more in the afternoon block.
What is a day like?
Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A day has a morning circle, a swim block at the lake beach or the pool, field games, lunch, quiet hour and an afternoon block. Early and late care is available by the week.
What do we bring?
A hat, a filled water bottle, sunscreen already on, a swimsuit under clothes, a towel and a dry shirt, lunch in a cold pack and closed-toe shoes.
What if my camper can't swim yet?
Every camper takes a swim test on the first morning. A camper who isn't ready for the deeper area swims in the shallow area in a life jacket, with a counselor beside them. Tell us at registration how your camper feels about the water.
What is swim week?
Week 5 is a swim-only week with shorter hours. Campers swim at the lake beach and the pool every morning, in smaller groups by level, and there are no field games.
What happens in a storm or in the heat?
When thunder is heard, everyone leaves the water and the dock and waits indoors for the lifeguard's all-clear. On very hot days, swim blocks run longer and games move into the shade.
How does pickup work?
An adult on your list signs your camper out at the pavilion door. We ask for ID until we know you, and we call you before a new adult comes.
How does tuition work?
It depends on the age group, the weeks and early or late care. How tuition is set, held and paid is explained under How tuition works.
How do I hold a place?
Register for the weeks you want on our enrollment page. When a week is full, join its waitlist, and we call you when a place opens.
What about allergies and medicine?
Tell us at registration, and we ask what we need privately. Please don't put medical details in the contact form.
